Construction Project Manager


Job Summary

Responsibilities include:

  • Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects.

  • Calculate the cost estimate of all project tasks and accurately manage the project budget.

  • Plan and schedule the entire project including fabrication, installation, and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met.

  • Acquire the appropriate materials and ensure construction is up to code.

  • Work with general contractors, critical subcontractors, and external vendors to negotiate profitable contracts.

  • Manage fabrication and installation and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality project performance.

  • Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports.

  • Put organization systems into place to ensure tools, vehicles and equipment are well maintained.

  • Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulations issues promptly.



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related fields

  • Minimum one year of work experience in construction management is helpful

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus

  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles

  • Experience using construction or project management software preferred

  • Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills and time-management skills
